Shhhhhh confessions...

It's that time again...

time for........

FRIDAY CONFESSIONALS...

here...with Mamarazzi and Dandelion Wishes...

I confess...

I have a thing for cowboys.

I don't know if it's that super sexy southern draw...

or the way they are usually all tan and buff...

or it might just be that I think Tim McGraw is so yummy...

but this weekend...

I bought my husband a cowboy hat...

yeah..

I went there..

He laughed at me at first...

but I am pretty sure he's changed his mind about it..

I confess...

I am about to make a SUPER HUGE life change

I can't really talk about it yet...

but I am really nervous about it...

and I really want to talk about it...

it's kind of killing me not to talk about it...

soon....

I confess...

I love summer.

I love everything about it.

I love the heat

I love the sun

I love the beach...

I love not wearing shoes...

ever.

The downfall is that my feet are pretty much dirty all the time.

I mean all. the. time.

I get out of the shower...

walk outside...

dirty.

and I don't really care.

I seriously could care less...

My feet are dirty ALL SUMMER LONG...

and I love it!

I confess...

the hubster just turned 40...

and I have to say..

he gets better with age.

Seriously.

this whole 40 things has kind of rocked my world...

then again...

it could be the cowboy hat!

I confess...

Both of my girls are cheerleaders...

and not the kind of cheerleaders that rah rah rah...

the kind of cheerleaders that do round off back handspring back tucks.

I was never a cheerleader.

Back in my day (did I really just say that?)

We made fun of cheerleaders...

and now...

I am crazy Texas cheerleader Mom.

They are each on two teams...

They practice 5 to 6 times a week...

and they love it...

Which only goes to show...

you love what your kids love!

Beaver Hollow

Last weekend we headed out on our 2nd annual Portsmouth Naval Shipyard camping trip. This is our third camping trip this year! It’s so hard to believe we just started camping last year!

When we first got there we were a little freaked out. I mean…we’ve kind of been spoiled! Every single other place we have tried has been amazing!

Beaver Hollow was…well…there really is no nice way to put it….

a little….

ghetto….

We did make the best of it.

The first day we just hung around the pool all day…

It was 95 degrees….so we stayed as close to the water as we could…(even though the pool was so nasty that I would jump in and jump out as quickly as I could…and I’m a TOTAL pool girl!)

The next day we left the campground and headed over to White Lake.

OMG you guys…..it is beautiful. I mean breathtakingly beautiful….There was more than one time that day that I remember saying to myself….I live here. I am lucky enough to live here!

It was the perfect day. In a perfect place…

with these amazing people…

I know…I know a ton of pics…

But the way I figure it…. I could write about it…

or just let the pictures tell the story…

and they seem to do it so much better than I ever could.

It's the big 40 for this guy...

Last month we threw this guy a BIG surprise party...

Cause this is a BIG birthday!

It being the BIG 40 and all.

Now it's his real Birthday...

{1} What would you do with an extra $1000 a month?

If I had an extra 1000 bucks a month. I start fixing all of the things about my house that need to be fixed! I'd finish the upstairs bathroom...and put up some new siding...and add a front porch...and put in sliding doors in our bedroom....that lead out to the wrap around porch...and I'd build a two car garage....and a mud room....

wait...you said 1000.00 a month right...

Ok...so maybe I'd take out a loan so that I could do all of this ....and pay it off a 1000.00 smackeraroo's at a time!

{2} What category of blogger do you think you best fall under?

I seriously have no idea.

I think of my blog as a place to stash my memories.

Kind of like an electronic scrapbook....

That being said...I don't know what the categories are...so I have no idea where I belong...

but then again...

that's nothing new! :)

{3} What is your go to solution when you are having a bad hair day?

Nuff said!?

What better way to hide some bad hair than with the best baseball team EVER!

{4} If you were a Crayon, what color would you be?

Isn't it weird how this changes through your life? Thinking back there were times when I was blue or Red...time when I think I would have picked pink...or yellow.

But right now. In this time of my life... I pick

Why Purple?

Well it's girly. Not as girly as pink....but still pretty girly. I've gotten a lot more girly as I've gotten older....but it's still strong. Pink seems a little fragile to me...I'm am SO NOT fragile...but still girly!

{5} They say love is in the little things. What is a little thing someone does to show you love?

This reminds me of the hubster. I love it when he sends me text messages during the day. Just a little Love ya. I know some husbands and wives who text all day long...not my guy. He isn't big into the whole texting thing....So when I get a text in the middle of the day I know he's thinking about me!

Summer Summer Summer time....

When I married Ryan my family grew...
and not just in the "let's make our own little family" kind of way...

He has a HUGE family.

He has blessed me with 16 brothers and sister...our children have 25 first cousins on his side of the family.

I have two brothers. One I talk to ...the other I don't. I have two nieces. TWO. and that's it.

The other day someone said to me... I am so jealous...You seem like you always have someplace to be, A cook-out, or a party, or a Christening, or a wedding...

and it's true. and it's even sometimes a bit overwhelming.

but most of all. It's super fun.

This weekend was no different.

We headed over to one of Ryan's Aunts house...to "catch up" with one of his cousin's...and her family.

This kids love going over to Aunt Cherie's house.

They love hanging with their cousins..

and they always find a way to get into a little bit of trouble.

and boy oh boy do we love these boys and girls!
