She's had a rough year.
This girl has always loved math.
She has always been a confident math student.
Until this year.
This year...she kind of got stuck with a crappy math teacher.
Now please understand... I am SO not a teacher basher.
She's had teachers I haven't loved.
But this guy.
This guy has almost single handedly ruined math for my kiddo.
Errrr.
That just makes me angry.
The one good thing that has come out of this is...
this....
I can't say for sure if she sees it as a good thing right now...
I know that doing math with your dad...probably isn't any one's idea of a good time...
but any Dad that is willing to do this...
is a pretty amazing guy in my book....
Because someday....
Someday she will be graduating from High School...
and she is going to remember that he cared enough to give up his Sunday night to make sure she knew the formula's for that pre-algebra test.
Someday...when she is in college...
she is going to want to work... just a little harder...
because he believed in her. Because he knew she could do it...
with just a little help.
And she is going to remember...
That when it was all said and done...
He had her back...
He was on her side...
and all that work...
was rewarded...
with
a
100%!
Way to go Roo.
So very VERY VERY proud of you...(and your Daddy!)

that reminds me of when I was in like 3rd grade or somewhere in there... my dad sitting at the table with me at night to help me with my homework. he would be very intent and serious and writing the dinosaur version of the lesson to teach me and I would be gazing in the air, looking around, not paying attention. He still teases me about it to this day.. But you're right, we've gotta Thank our Daddy's!! So Sweet!
