Today was a good day.

There are these moments.

These quick, little moments.

When I look at my husband....

When I look at my children....

When I look at my family....

When I take the time to really look at my life...

and I have to stop and wonder what the hell I did to deserve ALL I have.

I am MADLY in love with my husband.

My kids are about as AMAZING as kids could possible get...

and I have this incredible family... That loves me...and takes care of me... and keeps me sane.

and today was one of those days... you know the days when you see your life through someone else's eyes... and for some reason on that day.... you are lucky enough to see just how wonderful it all really is.  Today I watched my handsome husband walking with our girls talking about every day things...and literally thought.."What did I do to deserve this gorgeous man?"  and just minutes down the road...I turned around to watch my girls singing and laughing together...

There seems to be so much to complain about.  ALL. THE. TIME.

but not today.

Today was about taking a minute out of my crazy day...to remember that these are the most important people in my life... and I wouldn't get to be who I am without them...

That I am going to miss these days some day...

and that I need to stop and smell the roses more...

like today.

Today was a good day.

{Sunday Snapshot} A day with the Eagles...

Today I got to spend the day with my three favorite people.

And it was so good.

Today the Leary Clan piled in the truck and headed down to Boston College.

We've all been to BC football games...

just not EVER all together...

Ryan has been with each of us separately...

but today...we got to go as a family...

That right there makes it a pretty rockin day...

Now add that the weather was absolutely beautiful...

As in perfect.

Like...it couldn't have been better...

We watched the boys run through the tunnel onto the field.

Reilly high fived most of the players...and the Eagle mascot.

Alumni Stadium is a special place for Ryan...
He started going there when he was a little boy with his Dad.
Now he's taking his girls there...

and the intense love of this place continues...

From Their Papa...
To their Dad...
To them...

Come on...

hot dogs..

and Snow cones...

It doesn't get much better than that.

It was REALLY hot.

but I'll take that because I've been there when it has been wicked cold.

and I will take the scorching heat.

Reilly... not so much...

This kid was OVER-heated...and trying to prevent a sun burn.

No matter what the weather...
these kids always know how to have a good time...

The "robot" is fun anywhere right?!

and of course... any time I am with this guy...
especially on a weekend...
it a good day.

Sometimes...I have to stop what I am in the middle of...
and remember just how lucky I am...

To have these people...
to pick me up when I am down..
and to remind me what what life is all about..

It's about these times...
with these  people...

It's about Ryan being able to take this team...this place...these memories...
and give them to his children...

(I just know he is STILL praying ONE of his girls is an EAGLE one day...)

and of course it doesn't hurt when you look this good in maroon and gold!

I catch myself looking at others and feeling jealous.
Jealous of their new car...
or larger house...
or more babies...
There are so many things I want...
So many things I wish I could have...

and then a day like today happens...
and I am reminded...

That I already have it all!

Come on over to Sunday Snapshot with Stefanie and her crew!

Kindergarten Celebration

Tonight we celebrated.

We celebrated our baby being a big girl.

We celebrated a very successful week of kindergarten.

Reagan picked the place...and Reilly surprisingly agreed.

The food was good...

The company was better

Things got a little goofy...

and of course... it isn't a celebration without...

DESSERT!!

It didn't stand a chance...

It was a wonderful evening with my very VERY favorite people.
I couldn't be more proud of my peanut.
So many changes for my little one this week...
and she took them all in stride.

She rode the bus for the first time...
She had a new school...
She had a new classroom...
She made new friends...
She had a new teacher...

and she managed it all with a smile...

All in all...

she is just about the most amazing kid EVER!

In the blink of an eye...

All of the sudden.

I have a teenager.

I mean...not technically.  She has 4 months until she is 13.

But she is most definitely a teenager.

All of the sudden when I look at her... I don't see my little girl...

All of the sudden...she is wearing (a little) mascara to school...

All of the sudden she is getting up earlier just to straighten her hair...

All of the sudden...she is picking out her outfit the night before she goes to school.

Seriously...

I can't take much more of this whole....growing up thing.  How do I make it stop?

This year...

THIS amazing, beautiful, kind, sweet, smart, funny, messy, kid...

started 7th grade.

YES... I said 7th grade.

and as she was walking out the door to catch the bus...

I caught these...

She changed soooo much from last year...

6th Grade

7th Grade

6th Grade

7th Grade

She has gone from looking like a little girl to looking like a teen.

I hate it.

I despise it.

It is killing me.

Slow it down Roo...

"You're gonna miss this...you're gonna want this back...you're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast...These are the good times...So take a good look around...you may not know it now...but you're gonna miss this...."

Love you Roo...keep on doing what you do...keep being a great friend...and amazing daughter...an honor student... the BEST Yaya EVER...a terrific Grand-daughter...and the kind of person who touches the life of every SINGLE person you come into contact with...

I heart you Roo...

XOXO

{Sunday Snapshot} The big day...

So...to be honest...this is a re-post.

I just feel like I finally got it right.

Ni Hao Y'all

Reagan started Kindergarten on Monday.

and to be honest.  I tried to write about it.

but, I couldn't.

I mean I did.

Write about it...but every time I wrote something it just didn't come out right.

I couldn't seem to find the words to express what I was feeling.

Maybe because I was feeling so much.

Monday...This happened...

and my heart broke into a million pieces...

Reagan has been waiting for this day forever.

Last year at the bus stop she talked with all the other kids and parents about how she would be getting on the bus "next" year.  So as we approached the bus stop...

They cheered for her.  They literally clapped and woo hoo'd for her.

and she loved it.

My baby...she ran to the bus stop.

She was excited about all of it...

The new outfit...

The new back pack...

The friends and family that came to see her off on her new adventure..

She was excited about ALL of it...

me on the other hand.

Not so much.

Here's the thing.

Reagan, she's not just MY baby.  She is THE  baby.

Not to mention, Reagan has been with me FOREVER.

I worked at the center she went to when she was an infant and a toddler...

I was her preschool teacher...

it's kind of been us...

against the world...

I was there when she learned her colors...

I was there when she learned her shapes...

I taught her how to write her name...

and now...

someone else is going to do it...
and I am going to miss it...

and I hate it.

She is my baby...my last baby..

This is the last time I will be putting one of my babies on the bus for kindergarten for the first time...
and as crazy as it seems... it is ending for me.

As I looked at my girl...at the bus stop...with all the other "big" kids...

I knew she was ready...and I had to let her go.

I knew I had done the best I could to give her the tools she is going to need to go out there...

and kick some butt...

in the real world...

without her Mommy.

but that doesn't mean I won't be there...

To hold her hand whenever she needs it...
To help her up in case she falls..
To remind her that she is one of the most incredible people I have ever met...
and that she CAN do anything...
ANYTHING she puts her mind to...

And most importantly that while she is away from me...
making choices
and just being "big"...

That I am always with her...
cheering her on.

Needless to say ... As the bus pulled away.

I cried.  A lot.

And oh boy was I excited when the afternoon came and it was time for that big yellow bus to drop off my baby to me.

She had a great day.

She loved Art.

She LOVED recess.

She wants to try hot lunch.

She thinks her teachers are really nice.

She feels shy around her new friends.

She is remembered to remind me to wear sneakers for gym day.

She loved the bus.

and the very very best part.

She missed her Mom...almost as much as her Mom missed her....

Reagan June Leary {Sunday Snapshot}

So I have tried...
like 10 times today to write a blog about Reagan going to kindergarten...
and it isn't working..
I don't like anything that is coming out..
It isn't coming out the way I feel...

So I decided to post a bunch of pics...
new and old..
of my Reagie...
and try again another day..
to talk..
about today...

but...
for now...

here's the KINDERGARTNER!

knock em dead kiddo.

XOXO
