Today was a good day.
Today my Grandfather turned 92 years old.
We celebrated at the Lake.
The kids in the water...
Gram and Gramp...
doing what they love best...
watching their Grandbabies...
Nana and I hanging out...
I am one of the lucky ones...
I am no spring chicken...
I have seen almost ALL of my friends...
go through the pain of losing one if not both of their Grandparents...
I am unbelievealbly lucky...
I still have these two...
My kids... have two Great-Grandparents...
They see them ALL THE TIME...
They have sleepovers...
Today was a good. day...
Today we BBQ'd...
and took in the view...
Me...
driving everyone crazy...
taking ridiculous amounts of pictures...
The girls LOVE being at Nana's house...
It's their favorite Daycation spot.
and today...was even better than usual...
Cake ... always...make a good day...
A great day!
Especailly when it's a Grampy...being delivered his cake from one of this favorite kids..
and your the one making the wish...
Sometimes...you have a day like today..
a day when you get to look at a view like this...
and you get to spend it with people like this...
Is a day to remember...
To be thankful for...
because someday...
We won't be able to all be together...
someday...
we won't be able to have these days...
and when that time comes...
I will have THIS day...and days like it...
to look back on...
and I know I will smile...
when I remember...
all.
this.
LOVE.
GOD IS GOOD.
Come on over to Ni Hao Y'all
for a super cool
Sunday Snapshot!

Awesome...you are very blessed
I, too, count myself among one of the lucky ones to still have a set of grandparents still living. They are 89 years old and in a few months will celebrate 70 years of marriage. Happy birthday to your grandpa!!
God is good! I still have both of my sets of grandparents as well! I feel so blessed that my girls get to know their great-grandparents. how wonderul and what beautiful pictures!
Awwww, happy birthday, Grampy!! What an incredible way for him to spend his 92nd birthday.... surrounded by babies, grandbabies and great-grandbabies!! You are ALL blessed indeed :)
Loon Cove?! Sounds like a place I could get comfortable! Especially with the yummy grilled chicken breasts & cake ;) Happy Birthday to your Grandpa!
oh I love the shot of your grandparents in the chairs looking at the grandchildren. so tender
I love this. I miss my grandparents and wish our kids could have had the opportunity to know them. What a gift for you to be able to have this time! Thanks for sharing!
Such blessings to be all together. Looks like a great time!
I totally got goosebumps as I read this post! I could feel your joy spilling right off my computer screen. What a blessed day!
PS ~ My only surviving grandparent (my paternal grandfather) turned 92 on the 4th of July. And I too love the relationship forged between my grandfather and my children. It's beautiful stuff!
